General landscapers maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, flower bed construction and preparation, removing unwanted debris, monitoring plant health, weeding, sprinkler installation, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Mowing and trimming occurs on a weekly or biweekly basis based on signed contracts or weekly invoicing. Dates of need: 2025-04-01 to 2025-10-31 | # of regular hours guaranteed per week: 40 | Mon-Fri poss Sat | 08:00 - 04:30 | Lift and sustain 50 lbs | No ed./exp. required. OTJ training available. Maintenance Technicians are considered essential staff and maintain the upkeep of FBHA. This position directly reports to the Maintenance Manager which performs a wide variety of maintenance duties to provide a routine of clean, orderly, and safe environment for the Fort Berthold Housing membership. Technicians should have experience or knowledge in the fields of carpentry, electrical repairs, and plumbing so the combined resources are available to handle the full range of maintenance required by FBHA. Maintenance Technicians will maintain, repair and upgrade properties/homes to assure upkeep and safety, including but not limited to Cement work, Cleaning, repairing or installing Doors, Electrical, Floor repairs, Furnaces, Lighting, Locks, Mechanical, Painting, Paving, Plumbing, Roofs, Screens, Structural, and Windows. Provide minor home repair in accordance with annual inspection needs assessment. Work with Occupancy Department to develop an annual management system for pest control and extermination. Maintain an annual work order system, conduct preventative maintenance on homes, provide stand by emergency service for housing units. Maintain and turn in daily logs of maintenance activity and are subject to 24 hour calls for emergencies such as gas leaks, furnace outages, lock outs, flooding and/or other emergency calls.
