DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Patient Access Representative is a unique role within Morris Hospital and Healthcare Centers. The Patient Access Representative welcomes the patient into the care delivery setting and initiates the administrative systems that will lay the groundwork for the patient\'s clinical care as well as the financial documentation. QUALIFICATIONS Professional/Educational High school diploma or equivalency is necessary. Typing, computer entry and other clerical skills and experience required. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of overall patient access/financial service process. Personal Strong communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Detail oriented. Good computer skills.
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Same Day Surgery Nurse under the supervision of the Nurse Manager is responsible for the nursing care of Same Day Surgery patients assigned to him/her, and to direct others in patient care. QUALIFICATIONS Professional/Educational Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. Current Illinois license with biennial renewal. Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Advanced Life Support (ACLS) preferred. BSN preferred. DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required. Personal Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy and honesty. Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability. Possesses the ability to work under pressure. Is able to work flexible hours as the schedule varies.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Performs a number of laboratory analysis and quality control testing following clearly defined preset criteria. Performs venipunctures, micro-collection, blood, specimen collection on inpatients and outpatients. Performs certain clerical and housekeeping functions within the lab. Drug Screen and BAT\'s. Works independently at remote locations as needed. Prepares specimen for transport. QUALIFICATIONS Professional/Educational High school diploma or equivalent. Training and experience; PBT (ASCP), or eligible preferred. Other wise, on the job training. Position knowledge; must be able to perform venipunctures with a high degree of proficiency and micro-sample collection. Must be able to perform simple analysis of a repetitive nature following a predetermined procedure. Must be able to communicate test results to personnel within and outside the laboratory. Must be able to work independently most of the time. Clerical duties include working with computers, FAX machines, telephones. Process specimen to the point of transport or distribution to departments. Personal Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct. Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others. Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty. Ability to follow directions accurately. Has the ability to work very closely with all laboratory employees, patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital employees.
