ABOUT THE ROLE: 3D Systems, a leading global provider of 3D printing solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead the global tax function. As a key member of the Finance leadership team this role will manage and oversee all aspects of 3D’s global tax function. This includes worldwide tax accounting and reporting, U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, transfer pricing, indirect tax compliance, tax planning and technology initiatives, and business support as needed. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Act as a strategic business partner to the Corporate Leadership Team. Provide technical expertise and leadership in all aspects of ASC 740 which includes presenting quarterly and annual tax provisions to management and independent auditors. Responsible for accounting for income taxes, including tax account reconciliations and preparing income tax footnotes and disclosures. Ensuring Tax accounting and reporting are in compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting. Plan and execute the preparation and filing of U.S. federal and state income tax returns, including management of tax consultants and advisors. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of key international tax concepts including E&P, Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT and Pillar Two tax legislation. Review and manage the company’s transfer pricing policies, documentation, and external advisors. Lead Research and Development Credit efforts for both federal and state tax purposes. Direct the compliance for all indirect taxes such as sales and use, property tax, unclaimed property, and credits and incentives. Develop and implement tax planning strategies including domestic and international cash tax management, corporate transactions, and other tax considerations related to corporate strategy. Initiate and review analysis of changes in tax legislation and provide recommendations to management as necessary. Advise on tax automation opportunities, tax technology tools, and process improvements to drive efficiencies within the tax function. Mentor and develop the tax team, manage work assignments, systems training, performance reviews, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Qualifications Education and Training Bachelor’s degree in tax, accounting, or a related field Advanced degree in taxation or related field Certified Public Accountant designation Experience 5 years in Tax at a Public Accounting Firm 5 years in a leadership role leading a tax team; public company experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Significant technical skills related to tax accounting (FAS109/ASC 740), and federal and state tax concepts. Exposure to international tax concepts, legal entity restructuring, tax planning, and transfer pricing required. Ability to drive change and optimize processes. Ability to develop and maintain business partnerships. Demonstrated abilities and results in leading and coaching a team. High attention to details. Strong financial and analytical abilities.
