Summary This position, located at the National Foreign Affairs Training Center (NFATC), is in the Business Technology Division, School of Applied Information Technology (SAIT), at the Foreign Service Institute (FSI). SAIT is responsible for all information technology (IT) development and training needs for employees of the Department of State, as well as employees of other Federal agencies. Responsibilities Serves as a technical expert in analyzing, evaluating, and resolving complex systems issues used in a wide range of technology courses and activities. Evaluates and applies Department of State IT governance to platforms, standards, processes, and methodologies used in SAIT training and education programs. Analyzes overall systems requirements and provides technical guidance to improve complete training systems functionality. Serves as liaison between software development, sustainment, and integration that identifies and addresses technology problems. Teaches other subject matter expert instructors on how to setup hardware systems and software applications to support hands-on training exercises.
