  • Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, Logistics Directorate, U. S. Southern Command, Key West, FL 33040, J4. Responsibilities Serves as a Facility Manager and lead on facility management and Contracted Central Processing Facility (CPF) operations. Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, procedures or methods requiring technical skill, training. Experience to perform complex building maintenance and management assignments and developing new methods, approaches, or procedures to resolve a wide range of technical problems. Performs duties as Contracting Officer\'s Representative (COR), ensures qualification are maintained and submits all required reports completely, accurately and on time. Submits requirements for budget estimates and administers funds appropriated annually for services, operations, maintenance, repairs, and construction. Manages logistics requisitioning and reporting systems ensuring both forecasted and inventory needs. Conducts Facilities planning to ensure optimal operations of JIATFS South facilities. Makes decisions based on the interpretation of regulations and practices, and initiates actions which affect all JIATF South organizational units. Makes authoritative decisions which have a direct impact on the availability and effectiveness of sensitive, state-of-the-art mission equipment. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in facility planning, maintenance, and space allocation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Facilities Management Facilities Operations and Maintenance Facilities Requirements Analysis and Planning Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
