The School of Engineering Technology at the University of Maine invites applications for an academic year, tenure track Assistant Professor of Surveying Engineering Technology. The Surveying Engineering Technology program offers innovative in-person and online education at the undergraduate and graduate levels to serve both traditional and nontraditional students. The approximately 400 student population includes B.S undergraduates, undergraduate Certificate students, M.S. in Engineering Technology and Professional Science Masters students, Graduate Certificate students and Eng.D (Doctor of Engineering) students.
Overview
In the Department of Physics and Astronomy, one or more courses or laboratory or recitation sections may be offered to part-time, temporary faculty members in spring and/or fall 2025. Courses available could include Technical Physics, General Physics, Physics for Scientists and Engineers, Introductory Astronomy and/or Special Relativity. Laboratory or recitation sections would be in general education or introductory courses: Technical Physics, General Physics, and/or Physics for Scientists and Engineers.
In the English Department, one or more courses may be offered to part-time, temporary faculty members in spring and/or fall 2025. Courses available could include ENG 101: College Composition, ENG 205: Introduction to Creative Writing, and ENG 317: Business and Technical Writing.
