  • Summary About the Position: This position is located at the US Army Military Police School at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is in Pulaski County, Mo. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2hr. drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour\'s drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood. Responsibilities Develop training curriculum and materials for behavioral sciences education course. Resolve controversial, unconventional, or novel problems related to special victims training, education, and investigation. Serve as a subject matter expert writer developing training materials through the analysis of educational or instructional problems or questions. Serve as the course manager for the DOD Problematic Sexual Behavior among Children and Youth course. Advise supervisor when programs of instruction and lesson plans need to be revised or adapted to address training short falls. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes: a subject matter expert writer/instructor developing training materials through analysis or instruction in the area of the Family Advocacy Program, and a researcher and Special Projects Facilitator for the Special Victims Capability Division and a trainer or a subject matter of expert for multidisciplinary Trainers with the Installation Directorate of Emergency Service , Family Advocacy Clinical Case Workers and Victim Advocates as it relates to response and investigations. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Curriculum Development Instructional Design Oral Communication Training and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
