JOB SUMMARY The Detention Program Supervisor (Supervisor) at the Cascade County Juvenile Detention Center (Center) spends considerable time overseeing the detention units, youth programming, and assisting the Administrator and Compliance Supervisor in the operation of the 24 hour/7 day a week facility. The Supervisor must be able to accurately record data in youth records systems, and assist with the annual budget, scheduling of employees, and bi-monthly payroll. The Supervisor must have significant experience with CentralSquare and LiveScan systems to provide support for employees and as a liaison with the respective service providers. This position will have significant personal contact with placing agencies, law enforcement, court personnel, co-workers, associated professionals, juvenile offenders, families, visitors, medical professionals, attorneys, and other government agencies. Must be able to ensure the exchange of information with fellow employees and employees on different shifts. This position requires the employee to be able to work flexible hours that effectively assist with supervision of youth and employees on all shifts, to include some weekends and holidays based on the needs of the facility. This position also requires employee to be on call every third week. The Supervisor in collaboration with the Recreation Coordinator will develop an indoor and outdoor recreation program.
