Positions work pieces for processing; may operate a combination of different machines to process Uses gauges, calipers indicators or rulers for measurement; Installs and aligns specified cutting blades or other fixtures in saw using gauges, templates, Adjusts controls to set cutting speed and feed rates Diagnoses problems and makes necessary adjustments Coordinates and executes material handling to be processed including operation of overhead crane Examines finished work pieces for conformance to quality standards
