The position reports to the Chief of Radiation Oncology, for assuring delivery of high quality, evidence based care as part of our multi-disciplinary Cancer Program. Responsible for all functions which fall under the scope of care of Radiation Oncology and to be approved for VA privileges to offer these services. These include clinical and administrative management, either directly or through delegated authority of the following: Initial Patient evaluation (both inpatient and outpatient consultation) Patient simulation, radiation treatment plan and prescription Chart rounds, new patient rounds and image checks Patient management during treatment Follow up care post treatment Consultation with other service Participation Tumor Boards Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for providing services in an efficient, high-quality, cost effective manner Works with the Section Chief, Radiation Oncology and other staff as appropriate, supports operations issues/problems resolution in a logical, step-wise fashion.
