Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, including the supervision of respiratory therapy students. Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures; maintain patient records; and select, assemble, check, and operate equipment. Respiratory Therapists assigned to the pulmonary functions lab, responsible for performing diagnostic cardiopulmonary evaluations and respiratory therapy treatments designed to care for patients with deficiencies and dysfunctions of the cardiopulmonary system. The Pulmonary function technologists primarily perform diagnostic tests. These tests can include spirometry, diffusion testing, lung volumes, airway resistance, respiratory muscle forces, bronchial provocation testing, assisting with bronchoscopy, CPX testing and other tests that a doctor orders. They must also be able to calibrate, clean and maintain diagnostic equipment and recognize when equipment malfunctions.
This position is eligible for a $7,500 Sign-On BONUS! Clinical Lab Techs perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. They will perform a variety of routine and complex testing ranging from waived to high complexity testing in all sections of the laboratory, including Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, and Microbiology. Clinical Lab Techs participate in patient testing, quality control, CAP surveys, policy and procedure development, and equipment maintenance. The responsibility of theRegistered Nursein the ICU is to render care to patients who are critically ill, injured or have undergone invasive/complex surgery and require a higher level of care which may include frequent monitoring of vital signs, cardiac status and changes in patient conditions; the use of life supporting systems and/or specialized medications specific to ICU. They collaborate with medical staff and other disciplines to provide quality care while performing in accordance with approved policies and within scope of practice. They supervise and delegate duties to other personnel as indicated.
