  • \"This is a Temporary Position.  Dates of employment are From 7/19/2024 to  04/11/2025  To apply: click on \"I want to apply\" and fax your resume/application to Luis Gomez-Ruiz or Jame Marchione at 717-334-3869.  Be sure to reference the job posting number (JO#20206487) on your resume/application.  Must have three months of experience. All reumes/applications are reviewed and only those that match the job specifications are forwarded to the employer for consideration.  This work order is for qualified people to perform any combination of tasks related to packing fresh market and processing non-citrus fruit grading equipment, labelers and baggers; adjusting, maintaining and cleaning packing machines; folding cardboard containers; grade and sort by hand, or classify unprocessed fruit by size, weight, color and/or condition, placing fruit by hand into containers, tape, move and stack cartons on pallets. Workers will operate agricultural machinery/equipment essential to packing apples, peaches, nectarines and  cherries including  bagging machines, bin feeding machines, box machines, labeling machines and forklfts. Forklift operator (those trained to operate forklift) responsibilities will include delivering pallets of finished product to cold storage, loading/unlading as needed, setting up orders and shipping, record keeping of materials and finished product. Workers may be responsible for cleaning all machinery, electronic equipment, and the facility work area at the end of shift. Workers must adhere to all Food Safety protocol. Instructions and overall supervision and direction will be provided by a company supervisor. Workers hired pursuant to this labor certification must be able to comprehend and follow instruction of a company supervisor. Unusual, complex, or non-routine activities will be supervised. Workers will be expected to perform basic duties in a timely and proficient manner without close supervision. Work is to be done for long periods of time. Workers should be able to work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. Work requires repetitive movements and extensive walking and standing. Outside temperatures may range from 20 to 110 F however most work is performed indoors where temperatures range from 35 to 80 F.  Workers should be physically able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations. Failure to comply with operating and safety standards may result in termination. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 45 pounds. Persons seeking employment as an experienced rader and sorter in a packing house must be available for the entire period requested by the employer. Applicants must be able to furnish verifiable job references or comparable third party documentation from recent employers establishing acceptable prior experience Employer retains the right to discharge an obviously unqualified worker, malingerer or recalcitrant worker who is physically able but does not demonstrate the willingness to perform the work necessary.
