The Director of Equipment Operations manages the Athletics Equipment Room and Laundry Facility and is responsible for the overall equipment operation for 16 NCAA Division I varsity sports. In addition,this position is responsible,but not limited to,the oversight of all operations in the equipment room,issuance and maintenance of all athletic equipment and apparel for student-athletes,maintaining and storing equipment,budget management and oversight of student workers. The Director of Equipment Operations will oversee equipment and uniform purchases,negotiate and maintain contact with vendors; dispense,receive and inventory equipment as received,laundry as required,schedule equipment room hours,and supervise work-study and student workers. This position works under the general supervision of the Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine.
The Student Sustainability Coordinator will manage and lead WSU s Environmental AmbassadorsProgram and coordinate with the other associated clubs run through the Energy & Sustainability Office (e.g. Food Recovery Network and Community Garden Club). Through this program they will promote a culture of sustainability throughout the University Community and work to facilitate the advancement of WSU s sustainability goals. This position is responsible for the following:a. Serve as WSU s Environmental Ambassadors President which will include running the club meetings and managing all club administration (schedule meetings,create agendas,minutes,and the creation of the academic year plan)b. Market all club events,coordinate tabling,and send out weekly club emailsc. Serve as point person on club promotion events like Block Party or Club Carnivald. Serve as the ESO student point of contact with SPARC to ensure events are on the calendar and club websites are updated. Attend the ESO/SPARC communication coordination meetings.e. Serve as the liaison to Student Government,Diversity Office,and Wellnessf. Manage student energy/climate and transportation/air quality related events (e.g. LED exchange,Clear the Air Challenge,help promote climate week,etc.)g. Assist with the management of the Green Badge Program. This position will be responsible for updating the monthly actions and that badges are awarded.h. Assist Green Department Manager with program implementation
The STEM Mentor will provide academic support and mentoring to high school students participating in EAST\'s Summer Bridge program with a focus on STEM education and careers. The two classes we need specific STEM Mentor support for this season are MFET (Manufacturing,Engineering,Technology) and Computer Science. This includes acting as a teacher assistant,assisting students with class projects and homework,serving as a near peer mentor and helping motivate students,gathering survey information,providing one on one tutoring when needed,technical support and overall support for the program and its programming elements.The Summer Bridge program will run T-Th from 9-3pm,June 25- August 8th,2024,with some training beforehand and some data collection afterward.Criminal Background check is required as a condition of employment.
Duties include: reception,telephones,errands,copying,filing,scanning,data entry/tracking,assisting others in the office on special projects,and other duties as assigned.
