DEFINITION - Under supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Safety Director will be responsible for creating and overseeing safety protocols and procedures and ensuring that staff members are properly informed regarding emergency preparedness, use of protective equipment, and accident protocol. TASKS - Developing and implementing workplace safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards. - Providing personnel with safety-related information such as training sessions, emergency protocols, and proper use of safety equipment. - Reviewing existing policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date. - Overseeing the company\'s daily operations and identifying opportunities for improvement of safety regulations. - Performing safety audits and physically inspecting all work areas and jobsites to identify possible safety issues along providing an accident review. - Conducting risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents, occupational illnesses, or long-term health hazards. - Preparing monthly or annual safety reports and presenting the information to management. - Collaborating with management to plan and implement a safety protocol budget. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER - Knowledge of OSHA Skill in the implementing of safety protocols and measures to ensure compliance. Skill in conducting inspections and identifying hazards. MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES - Mental work efforts involve the application of oral and written instructions requiring independent decisions and assuming responsibility for the proper operation of equipment which may impact the ability of the work unit to complete work in a timely and safe manner. Signature’s Customer Service Representatives (CSR) are responsible for a variety of duties that contribute towards the overall success of the fixed base operation (FBO) and focus on consistently providing excellent customer service. A CSR often serves as the face of Signature while interacting with visitors and coworkers in a professional, friendly and courteous manner. CSRs ensure concierge and other services are promptly and correctly handled, provided and billed in accordance with Signature’s procedures. Responsibilities Position Description # D0483000 This position is located in an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) or Army Aviation Flight Activity (AAFA) with responsibility for the peformance of the full range of aircraft maintenance duties including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair, and ground testing of assemblies, system, and surfaces for one or more types of military aircraft, fixed and rotary wing. Description of Duties: (1) Perform inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on assigned aircraft to include pre-inspection, daily inspection, pre- and post-flight inspections and such special inspections as required, including fuel contamination checks, oil sampling, an inspection of onboard emergency equipment. Conducts checks on hydraulic, electrical, transmission, power systems, etc. (2) Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and performs unscheduled maintenance on assigned and transient aircraft. Performs the full range of repair and testing of aircraft system, assemblies, and surfaces. Using a variety of methods involving test equipment, visual checks and instruments, diagnoses and identifies problem areas and determines the extent of repairs required. Removes components and assemblies, repairs or replaces defective parts and components and reassembles repaired items into the aircraft. Installs, aligns, and makes needed adjustments to major components and assemblies such as engines, propeller/rotors, transmissions, hydraulic systems, etc., assisting Specialists as required. Accomplishes adjustments to related systems which may be affected by repairs. Conducts ground functional tests of all aircraft systems. Services aircraft with oil, de-icing fluid, fuel, and hydraulic fluid. Launches and recovers assigned and transient aircraft; performs inspections prior ot takeoff. Inspects for conditions such as oil, fuel, and hydraulic leak, cut lines, tires and loose panels. (3) May be required to perform such additional duties as fire fighting, aircraft crash/rescue, snow removal, etc. (4) Perform other duties as assigned. Experience coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow. Must have the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic components, and fuel controls sufficient for the exhibit to be returned to its shipping container. Education There are no educational requirements for this position. Additional Information Permanent Change of Station: PCS funds are not available for this position.
