  • Assists in preparing of food. Serves meals to students and staff. Performs cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing. Brews coffee, fills beverage machines, sets up hot and/or cold food area. Delivers, when necessary, food to staff, students and catering events. Prepares and serve food according to menus. Checks and stores incoming supplies. Collects and strips trays for dishwashing. Stores silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, pots, etc. Participates on safety committee. Attends all mandatory in-service programs. Supports the goals, objective and mission statement set forth by Whitsons. Performs all other duties as assigned. Work Schedule - Mon - Fri -7:30 am - 2 pm Subject to Change High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments. Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, pushing, and pulling. Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment. Always present a positive and professional image. Program Summary Natchaug\'s Joshua Center Programs treat children as young as six and as old as 17 who are struggling with psychiatric or substance abuse issues, but do not require inpatient care. Natchaug Hospital provides transportation from school to the Joshua Center Program, and then to the student’s home. Job Summary Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or program director, the Mental Health Worker provides therapeutic interventions for clients and participates as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team in adherence to hospital policies and core values. Previous experience with behavioral health clients preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2 years related experience required. Current CT Driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to obtain a Public Service License \"A\" Endorsement within 90 days of hire, which requires ability to pass pre-hire drug screen and DOT physical exam.
