What Product Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health Engineering is responsible for performing research and analyses to develop design options for components, products, systems and processes. Product Engineering is responsible for developing iterations, modifying, implementing and supporting existing products that function within the product families through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices.
Summary Performs a variety of duties in support of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Community Recreation program that may include special events, recreation information/resources, command events, visiting ships or fleet support, community events, trips, tours, outing, party and picnic rental equipment, resale tickets, recreational green space management, bowling, Library, Liberty, grab-n-go, movies, and outdoor recreation. This posting is for current residents on the island of Kaua\'i Responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provides customer service, information and support of Community Recreation programs and activities. Service to MWR customer includes, but is not limited to: checking patron eligibility to ensure authorized use of recreation facilities, resources and equipment, providing information about activities and program offerings, opening and closing facilities, ordering and restocking supplies, and preparing snack bar menu items or pre-packaged retail items. Collects fees from customers associated with sales of tickets, retail and rental items, as well as from classes, trips, and various other Community Recreation programs using Point of Sales (POS) and computer programs. Is accountable for the accuracy of daily sales transactions and completes a Daily Activity Report (DAR) at the end of every shift. Assists in processing customer Internet registrations (i.e. Net Near You), initial log-ins and even registrations. Checks Community Recreation equipment and resources in and out, collects any applicable rental fees, inventories items and completes inspections upon return. Notifies supervisor or program lead if damage or loss has occurred. Ensures all rental or check-out forms are properly completed and reservation and check-out procedures are followed. Conducts inventory, maintains inventory controls and maintains equipment for proper accountability of program equipment and resources. Assists in administering traditional and non-traditional workshops, clinics and events in a variety of leisure and recreation skills subject areas, in tune with offering popular in the local area, including but not limited to camping, cycling, sailing, backpacking, canoeing, snow skiing, hiking and water sports. Provides recreation experience related to leisure skill sets in the form of day and weekend trips. Assists in day-to-day administration of multiple programs to which assigned. Tasks include submission of event after-action reports, patronage data collection and entering program data. Performs inventory of various types of equipment, retail goods, supplies and items deemed to have cash value. Performs administrative duties, all of which are accomplished through a variety of means, including computer software programs, which track resource inventories, patron usage/comments, and program standards metrics. Assists with recruitment, training and scheduling of Community Recreation staff. Actively supports the command statement on adherence to EEO principles and policies. Assists in the planning, coordinating, publicizing, marketing and execution of MWR programs and special events. Performs entertainment and promotion scheduling. Assists in updating of electronic and multi-media support tools, as needed. Seeks ways to promote MWR facilities and events through outreach opportunities on base. Promotes use of recreational E-reading resources available through online MWR Library Program resources. Develops working partnerships with both on base and off base organizations (park districts, forest reserve, clubs, special interest groups, etc.) to support and benefit MWR programs. Performs community outreach to assist in the development of contacts. Assists in the creation of professional proposals, execution of agreements and follow-up. Researches and provides information and referral for a variety of recreational opportunities for individuals/families on and off the base. Adheres to NAVMED P-5010 sanitation requirements. Initiates and follows up on maintenance trouble calls to get equipment/facility issues resolved. Provides support for Community Recreation event set up and break down. Performs other duties as assigned as they pertain to the duties of this position. Knowledge of the Navy MWR mission and the entire scope of Community Recreation activities and their suitability for individuals, groups, ages, and interests. Knowledge of the functions, procedures, and operations of recreation activities. Must have strong customer service skills. Ability to maintain records, compile and organize data for reports, and perform research on recreation topics for dissemination to customers. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge of computers, office procedures and print production. Physical demands of the position: Work may require considerable physical exertion while instructing or guiding participants in a variety of activities. This position may require sitting, walking, long periods of standing, bending and lifting moderate heavy items of up to 40 pounds, occasionally required to lift heavier items. Items may also include papers, books, rental equipment, and athletic equipment. Work may require working outside for special events or leafing outdoor outings or group trips. Position may require irregular working hours. Incumbent may be required to work evenings and weekends. Work Environment: Work performed both indoors and outdoors, without a fixed schedule. Administrative work performed in an office setting, which has adequate lighting, heating and ventilation. Incumbent may be required to work early, late, and on weekends and holidays when the need arises. Incumbent is subject to recall regularly. Incumbent wears protective clothing and equipment as situations warrant. Must be willing to work weekend, nights, and holidays Education This position does not have a positive education requirement. Summary You will serve as an Assistant District Supervisor within the USDA, APHIS, WS. Primary duties involve assisting in the planning, recommending, organizing, and administering of operational and technical assistance programs designed to efficiently, effectively, and safely reduce wildlife damage that adversely impacts agricultural interests, human health and safety, property, and natural resources. Responsibilities The duties may include, but are not limited to: Utilizing standard and precedented methods and techniques, the incumbent assists immediate supervisor in planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing a WS program within a work unit. Assists with the implementation of conventional strategic plans based on WS Directives and program needs. Within the work unit, ensures compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), parallel State environmental laws, and other applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. With guidance from the supervisor, supports environmental compliance efforts through provision of information and review of administrative and project records, and environmental impact statements. May assist supervisor with tracking and managing budgets and funds provided for WDM operations of the work unit. Identifies and analyzes techniques for WDM operations in the work unit. Recommends, through supervisor, areas for potential research or developmental study. OR Combination of education and experience: equivalent to a major in biological science (i.e., at least 30 semester hours), with at least 9 semester hours in wildlife subjects, 12 semester hours in zoology, and 9 semester hours in botany or related plant science, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement you will also need to meet the following: FOR THE GS-09 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-07 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates: Designing a wildlife survey program that detects spatial and temporal differences in wildlife abundance and provides a suitable index of conflicts with wildlife. Experience leading a team, including developing and providing training in wildlife damage mitigation. Interpreting and applying policies, regulations, laws, and ordinances that affect wildlife damage management operations and working within those guidelines. Using GPS, GIS technologies, and web-based systems for data entry and administrative processes. OR 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master\'s degree or master\'s or equivalent graduate degree in one of the following degree fields: Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Ecology, Wildlife Management. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level.
