What You Will Do
Overview
Key Duties and Responsibilities:1. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective and safety equipment required and following all safety guidelines.2. Read and understand all product related documents such as the product guidelines, quality alerts, safety alerts, standard work documents, customer option sheets, and quality objectives along with the using first piece as a visual aid.3. Clean, trim and assemble components using hand tools and perform fit, form and function as required.4. Maintain a continuous repeat cycle of production/packaging to avoid the buildup of parts at the workstation.5. Ensure quality of the finished product to ensure the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.6. Train other employees and new hires and assist other departments as needed.7. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).8. Key Duties and Responsibilities:1. Safely and effectively perform mold and version changes according to the production schedule.2. Perform preventive maintenance on molds to include lubricating, minor repairs and identifying worn or damaged parts.3. Troubleshoot and make repairs to machine components.4. Set up molding machine and ancillary equipment, as related to the molding process.5. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).6. Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.7. Interpret blueprints and tool drawings/designs and implement engineering changes on molds and tools.2. Troubleshoot, solve and perform mold and tooling repairs and retrofit work.3. Repair hot runners systems, valve operated gating systems, water leaks, damages, etc.4. Perform mold repair and troubleshooting activities in the press during production runs.5. Perform regular mold preventive maintenance activities.6. Understanding of insert and version changes on molds.7. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).8.
