  • Food Service Assistant is responsible for serving of food under the supervision of the Food Service Team Leader. This position will also work on the Patient Food line. Responsibilities will also including cleaning of the kitchen. Previous food service experience preferred.

  • Job Summary: Support clinical staff by acquiring new patient paperwork and medical records from outside clinic offices to review for cardiac information such as testing and lab results necessary for pre-charting and creation of patient note in Epic EMR. Obtain vital signs and general health information for patient chart and prepares patient for examination. Assist the provider as needed with examinations and procedures. Collection of laboratory specimens and performance of tests on patients as ordered by the provider and/or arrange for patient testing, admissions, and referrals. Enter and record patient information in the medical record in a concise and accurate manner. Assist front desk staff by welcoming patients to the office, complete check in process by verifying patient identity, address, ensuring that accurate insurance and all other demographics are loaded in the Epic EMR system. Ensure prior authorizations for visits are in place prior to patient being seen. Obtain required signatures and collect co-payments. Balance daily payment entries against daily computer totals for all activities on patient account. Discuss balances with patients at check-in and/or check-out time. Schedule follow up and/or referral appointments at patient check out. Responsible for managing the No Show appointments making sure patients are not lost to follow-up. Answer phones and manage communications with patients, providers, staff, insurance companies, and other outside entities. Effectively communicate and accurately document via Epic EMR system relaying messages to Physicians and Patient Care team. Manage patient schedules, incoming and outgoing referrals. Obtain insurance authorizations for special testing and working the Epic work queues, following up with outside offices to be sure patients receive their appropriate appointments. Demonstrates good verbal and nonverbal communication skills. Scanning, monitoring incoming faxes, and other miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned by manager. Responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Ability to multi-task and be organized. Maintain patient confidentiality. Ensure patient records are managed according to HIPAA and regulatory requirements. Work with HIM on timely release of information requests. Other duties as assigned within scope and standards of practice. Qualifications: Must be a graduate from an nationally accredited Medical Assistant program. Associates Degree preferred, but not required. Experience assisting providers with patient care (vital signs, specimen collection, EKG, etc.) is required. Three years in a physician’s office with previous scheduling, registration, and collections experience is highly preferred. Experience with the Epic EMR, office skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and insurance terminology is preferred. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Self-starter, highly motivated candidate with friendly, outgoing personality, and excellent customer service skills required. Extensive knowledge of various health insurance plans preferred. Experience as a Certified Medical Assistant and/or Clinical Office Receptionist within a Cardiology office is preferred.

  • Performs responsible supervisory law enforcement work in directing the activities of a shift within the Police Department. Employees in this class direct the activities associated with a shift within the department. Administrative assignments include developing equipment and supply requests and providing input on policy-related matters. Supervisory responsibilities include managing the daily work activities of the shift including work assignment and staffing decisions; conducting meetings to include discussions on shift activities; reviewing law enforcement reports; and providing technical direction on matters related to the law enforcement work and legal paper processing, performance counseling, motivation, evaluation, training, and discipline when necessary. This work requires the application of modern law enforcement techniques, sound judgment, and independent initiative in pursuit of work objectives. Work involves frequent public contact which requires tact, firmness, and decisiveness. Work is performed in accordance with departmental policy and State and federal law, supplemented with specific directions from superior officers. The employees are subject to hazards associated with law enforcement including working in both inside and outside environments, in extreme cold weather, and exposure to various hazards such as atmospheric conditions, noise, vibration, and physical conditions. Employees are also subject to the final OSHA standards on blood borne pathogens. Work is performed under general supervision and is evaluated through observation and review of reports. Supervises all activities on a shift of the Police Department; participates in the development of policies and procedures for the Police Department; assigns, motivates, coaches, and evaluates employee performance; conducts disciplinary conferences when required; ensures proper training for all shift personnel including overseeing and participating in field training, recommending career development training, and ensuring proper in-service training; ensures proper staffing levels including scheduling leave, training, and finding replacements for sick staff members, etc.; provides mentoring for Sergeants. Responds to citizen requests and concerns; ensures that warrants and other papers are served in a timely fashion. Participates in patrol functions to include responding to calls; providing backup to more suspicious call; serving papers; making arrest; arrests offenders; identifies, collects, and preserves physical evidence; and prepares written reports of patrol activities. Reviews incident and other reports completed during the work of the unit; prepares related paperwork related to case management; prepares documents for district attorney and presentations to court. Performs special assignments as directed including overseeing vehicle maintenance, participating in hiring process, crime prevention programming, etc.

  • This position is responsible for the coordination of scheduling tests and procedures for outpatient services. Addition duties include managing the Orders Manager software for indexing incoming physician orders and in preparation of patient estimates as time permits. Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Basic knowledge of computers is required. Previous healthcare or medical office experience required.

  • Will be working 72/hrs per pay period as a staff RN for 12 or 24 weeks. Benefit status is consistent with casual part time benefits.
