Description The Melt Shop Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the melting operations within our iron foundry. This position is responsible for managing a team of skilled employees as they convert scrap metal into molten iron for casting. The supervisor will ensure that all melting processes are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include the following. Other duties will be assigned as deemed necessary by operations & staff management) Oversees the melting process to ensure safety and quality of Iron castings. Reviews production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments for the shift. Supervise all personnel and operations on the night shift, delegate, develop, train and coach employees. Maximize melting efficiencies to insure lowest electrical customer KWH/ton. Monitoring melting operations, including furnace performance, temperature control, and material quality.
