About the Position: The Fort McCoy Directorate of Public Works (DPW) provides support to units and organizations located on Fort McCoy property. The DPW maintains the installation infrastructure and environment. Responsibilities Serve as the focal point for work requests for the Garrison and all installation tenants. Performing a variety of clerical, administrative, budget and associated typing/automation duties relative to processing and managing work request information. Utilize standard office applications and web based information systems, primarily in the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Integrated Facilities System (IFS). As the first point of contact, the incumbent is responsible for providing courteous and timely customer service to the various customers serviced by the Directorate of Public Works (DPW). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers by phone, in writing, in person and by email; working well in a team environment by helping meet deadlines and objectives for overall organizational mission requirements; entering and reviewing data in computer programs such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS); preparing reports and correspondence using computer generated systems; or responding to a variety of work order requests from all supported customers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Conscientiousness Interpersonal Skills Self-Management Writing Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
