The Lead Medical Assistant, under the direction and supervision of the provider, is responsible for the care of the patient and family utilizing age appropriate principles of growth and development for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty. The Lead Medical Assistant demonstrates professional development and clinical competency; addresses health educational needs for patients, families and other health care providers; manages patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to the office operations; and applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions. The Lead Medical Assistant must possess the ability to take vital signs, assist in minor procedures and perform CLIA waved testing. The Lead Medical Assistant will be responsible for but not limited to intake and orders in the EMR and assist with billing information.
The State Registered Nurses Aide performs selected patient care activities. The State Registered Nurses Aide is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and provides various patient care activities and non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patient. Must be capable of physically assisting patients, dealing with patient emergencies, and working as a member of a clinical team.
He or she must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of anatomy. The technologist must demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill and understanding of image quality. Must be able to communicate to patients the nature of the tests and relieve their anxiety. Must demonstrate an understanding of Radiographic Positioning, Radiographic Technique, Radiation Safety, Imaging Equipment, Infection Control and Quality Control techniques. Presents a pleasant and helpful manner to patients, physicians, subordinates and other members of the department staff and assists in maintaining a work area free from hazards. The CT Technologist must perform routine diagnostic imaging studies, as needed. Must vary work schedule. The patient population of Spring View Hospital ranges from neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. The ARRT Radiographer Technologist must provide services to all patients, families, and physicians serving this population.
