The Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for pulmonary care as directed by the patients’ Primary Consulting Physician, appropriate to the ages and needs of the patient population served. He/she is accountable for the assignment, intervention, monitoring, and treating patients with pulmonary complications. He/she will assure that the equipment; supplies and services provided are appropriate to the age of the patient from neonate through geriatric. The Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner is accountable for the assessment, intervention, monitoring and treating of patients with pulmonary complications.
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Performs a wide range of housekeeping tasks and projects, including the cleaning of patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, offices, and clinical areas. Operation of specified small equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, upholstery shampooers, extractors, and others, is required. Where patient/family contact is involved, demonstrates knowledge, skills and behavior, appropriate to the age of the patient population served. This could range from neonate through geriatric.
Job Title: Electrical Technician
The role of the Sterile Processing Tech is to perform technical duties necessary for the decontamination, processing, sterilization and distribution of supplies and equipment for the entire hospital according to established hospital protocol, policies, procedures and central sterile standards. When appropriate, he/she utilizes skills relative to the equipment management necessary for services of the ages of the patient population served (neonate through geriatric).

Functions as a member of the health care team to assist the professional nurse in meeting the goal of individualized patient care by performing designated patient care activities under the direct supervision of the designated Registered Nurse. Demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contributes to the nursing assessment and the development of the nursing care plan, with the ability to provide patient centered care, teamwork, collaboration, evidence based practice and effective communication. Utilizing skills as outlined in the Nursing Scope of Practice in accordance with the Kentucky Board of Nursing and Spring View Hospital policies.
