Description Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to manage and oversee the financial records and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards for one of our clients out of the Freight industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Quickbooks, financial statement preparation, and general ledger maintenance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and detail oriented development within our organization. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Quickbooks software. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Processing payroll through automated software Conduct thorough review and analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and analysis as needed. Assist with the annual audit process by providing documentation and explanations as requested. Requirements 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles. Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis. Experience in payroll processing Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
