  • Description Performs specific duties related to preparing, assembling and verifying the accuracy of Small Business Administration (SBA) loan documentation; prepares various reports for management. Acts as a liaison between the borrower and the SBA Loan Specialist, providing high quality, knowledgeable service. Essential Functions Prepares SBA files for SBA submission while assisting Relationship Managers on transactions while communicating effectively with analysts to ensure efficient workflows are maintained. Prepares appropriate documentation and tracks receipt of completed documents to ensure files are completed in a timely manner. Completes loan documentation requests that enable the Loan Servicing Center to generate loan closing documents upon receipt of completed package from SBA Loan Specialist and reviews documents to ensure proper vesting, legal descriptions, dates, signatures, etc. Acts as closing agent for loans as needed, including funding loan proceeds according to loan documents. Stays in close contact with borrowers in order to ensure timely receipt of necessary items. Follows up on insurance, UCC renewals, financial statements, tax returns, corporate verification of status, inspections, etc. Manages compliance databases for the quality control process, ensuring loans are following strict SBA guidelines. Sell and cross-sell bank accounts and services as normal aspect of public contact. Assists Loan Specialists as a point of contact for customers and employees to answer questions regarding SBA loans. Qualifications Complete general banking knowledge with 5+ years of experience including commercial lending underwriting, loan documentation and servicing requirements. Prefer experience with SBA loan processing. Must be detail oriented in comprehending and applying underwriting and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of government regulations surrounding SBA lending. Ability to become familiar with, and implement, with a high degree of accuracy, the SBA Standard Operating Procedures for all functions. Ability to prioritize workflow, problem solve and manage multiple tasks under deadlines and stress while maintaining a professional and mature demeanor. Required to maintain the security and confidentiality of Bank and customer information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in all levels of the bank, inter-division as well as cross-department with above average courtesy and tact to deal with a wide range of people in a variety of roles. High degree of PC based technical skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products. Pay Range: SBA Loan Processor/Closer I: $22.61/hour - $33.94/hour SBA Loan Processor/ Closer II: $24.62/hour - $36.93/hour The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, Washington.
