Duties: The non-negotiable annual salary for this position is $48,776.00 NAGE, Unit 1, Grade 13, Step 1. Responsible for composing and preparing correspondence, reports, memos, etc.; preloading all trips into the Inmate Management System (IMS); scheduling zoom hearings with the courts, qualified examiners, and lawyers; ensuring the zoom calendar is kept up to date; preparing incarcerated individuals folders for transfer; responsible for maintaining an accurate filing system; contacting courts and other outside agencies when needed; submitting deduction from sentence sheets to incarcerated individuals; updating databases as required; checking Mittimus to ensure correct paperwork has been received from courts; retrieving daily movements from the IMS; maintaining an appointment book for outside professionals; photocopying or providing electronic folders for outside professionals, courts and others as needed; assisting in disseminating information concerning incarcerated individuals/sexually dangerous persons/temporary civil commitments court proceedings; properly updating incarcerated individual chronologies; updating folders and IMS to reflect changes in legal status; maintaining the daily record sign in/out sheet; Confidentiality and strong organizational skills are required. Additional duties as required. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of clerical office practices and procedures including record keeping, office correspondence control, types and uses of office equipment and supplies, business letter and report preparations, etc.; knowledge of business English including spelling, word meaning and word usage; knowledge of the standard office practices relative to handling of incoming mail; knowledge of the types of standard applications of standard office filing systems; ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to deal tactfully with others. Comments: This is a Civil Service position. Please note that salaries for union positions are determined according to the provisions of the respective collective bargaining agreement. The Chief Fiscal Officer is a senior position reporting directly to the District Attorney who assumes responsibility for all financial accounting, reporting and compliance for the Office. The CFO manages all aspects of the annual budget, comprehensive oversight and the implementation of agency fiscal policies, procedures and Internal Controls. The CFO will ensure compliance with the MA Comptroller, Department of Administration and Finance and the Massachusetts District Attorneys Association. The CFO will have the ability to manage the existing budget procedures and ensure that the Berkshire District Attorney\'s Office appropriation accounts and other revenue sources have available funds to support all agency obligations. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of BDAO\'s current budget; control expenses, create spending plans, develop future budget projections, and adjust budget as required throughout the year.
