Job Description Summary:
The Building Trades Department Chair/Instructor at Salish Kootenai College (SKC) will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing a comprehensive Building Trades Program that meets local and regional communities\' educational and workforce needs. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including local school districts, the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT), Job Service, NCCER, industry partners, and the Montana Apprenticeship Office. The Chair/Instructor will be responsible for direct instruction to secondary and post-secondary students, integrating cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices into the curriculum.
Essential Functions Helps residents with ambulation (walking, moving out of their wheelchairs, etc.). Contributes to patients physical therapist\'s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives. Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying therapy histories. Assesses abnormal conditions by reviewing physical therapist\'s interpretations of patient evaluations and test results. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting residents/patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses. Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information; promoting wellness and health maintenance. Provides continuity of care implementing patient management plan. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Maintains production objectives by noting current treatment trends; monitoring actual physical therapy services rendered to production objectives Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program. Licenses/Certification: Current state PTA licensure. Valid CPR certification. Position Summary: An Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the OT will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient\'s capacity and tolerance under the direction of a physician. In addition, the OT must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patient\'s condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate occupational therapy method. Essential Functions Optimizes the functionality and skills of patients by providing, directing and/or overseeing therapy in the following: screening of all residents, assessing and treating all patients who might benefit from therapy as referred by state-approved referral source. Refers patients for treatment to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA), where appropriate. Provides consultation and clinical supervision to COTAs in the facility. Directs COTA(s) and Rehab Aide(s) in skilled tasks during group and individual treatment in a manner that promotes efficient and effective utilization of resources and facilitate the ongoing development of clinical skills in accordance with State Practice Acts, Omnibus Reconciliation Act (OBRA). Build a strong rehabilitation practice within each facility by performing or directing and supervising occupational therapy staff in the following activities: establishing and maintaining courteous and helpful interaction patterns with staff, patients, and families which reflect sensitivity to individual needs and a problem-solving approach; actively integrating therapy?s role into facility and interdisciplinary treatment team. Contribute to facility patient care, utilization review, case management, administrative staff/department head meetings, and family conference activities/communications. Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts. Other Functions Provides skilled occupational therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders. Wadsworth Construction Company, located in Draper, Utah, seeks Five (5) full-time, temporary Carpenters Level 1.Duties: Works with other, more experienced carpenters to perform general carpentry work, building rough wooden structures such as concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary frame shelters. Specific duties include: pour and screed concrete to grade and straight edged; erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level; hang ledgers, overhang brackets, and decking with either plywood or steel forms; tying rebar; forming slabs, columns and walls for concrete pours; lay out footings, walls, boxes, dowels, etc.; form using the Aluminum Gang Form, Simons, EFCO, and Stick Frame Wood Forms forming systems; and other related duties as assigned.Requirements: [No education required.] 6 months experience required.
