  • Description The in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University invites applications for a Service Instructor or Service Assistant Professor of Social Work starting July 1, 2024. In addition to teaching, this candidate will serve as the inaugural BSW Online Coordinator. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track position with full benefits. Service Instructor and Service Assistant Professor appointments have renewable terms of up to three years, with no limit on the number of terms. These positions are eligible for promotion (e.g., Service Instructor to Service Assistant Professor; Service Assistant Professor to Service Associate Professor, etc.); however, promotion to senior ranks is not a requirement for institutional commitment and career stability. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will coordinate and develop a new Bachelor of Social Work online program that will exist in parallel to the existing campus-based Bachelor of Social Work program. The coordinator will join a BSW faculty team dedicated to excellence in BSW education.
