Role & Responsibility ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device attached to hoist. 2. Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids or lifting device by hand as needed. 3. Loads parts manually from racks, tubs, and/or bins in warehouse to trays or racks kit carts. 4. Follows set route through department to load kit carts. 5. Loads and unloads parts manually from paint line. 6. Maintains safety checks on necessary equipment. 7. Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety rules and regulations. 8. Uses electronic scanner to transact material as needed. OTHER DUTIES: 1. Keeps aisles clean and orderly. 2. Assists in the instruction and training of others as requested by supervisor. 3. Completes preventative maintenance and other duties as directed by Total Production Maintenance. 4. Perform other non-essential duties as assigned by management. Job Requirement Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time.

  • Position Summary Performs tasks involving physical labor at construction project sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: torching equipment, rigging equipment, air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, assemble and disassemble scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects. Able to control high pressure water hose during demolition and loading. Assist operator with any repairs or maintenance of equipment. Accurately fill out reports and turn in daily logs. Adheres to all customer site-specific safety requirements Regular participation in training for construction methods and safety. Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings any concerns to the attention of the project Foreman/ Superintendent, Project Management, Safety Director or Management. Maintains a clean job site at all times. Picks up all material, tools, and small equipment and secures job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. Material handling and storage. Assist in identifying and ensuring that any underground and overhead utilities have been located/exposed prior to excavating. Reviews trenching requirements with Supervisor and ensures any required protection is available. Must be okay with heights. May at times be on platforms, lifts, etc. Keeps Supervisor informed of known actions, written or verbal, which may affect the ability to successfully perform tasks at construction project sites or adversely affect Company operations. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings (plans/blueprints). Ability to read and comprehend grade stakes. Must be able to calculate grades. Experience setting up and utilizing a pipe laser. Experience using an eye-level (transit). Knowledge and ability to work with equipment, materials, and supplies found in construction work. Ability to follow proper use and safety guidelines at all times. Ability to view and understand Veit\'s safety training video. Willingness and ability to perform manual work. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with coworkers, vendors, and other business associates. Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions. Must have good interpersonal skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Punctuality and dependability are required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Six to twelve months of demolition experience Crane signaling and rigging certifications are required. Knowledge and ability to work with equipment, materials, and supplies found in construction work. Ability to follow proper use and safety guidelines at all times. OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, demonstrated knowledge of applicable safety procedures, and the ability to follow applicable safety precautions as well as view and understand Veit\'s safety training video is required. Willingness and ability to perform manual work. Ability to communicate orally and in writing to management and employees, external vendors and other business associates.
