LIFE is a program that serves county residents living in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver and Lawrence Counties. It is an all-inclusive comprehensive program that helps individuals maintain their independence in their home and community through supportive services. The LIFE programs offer an array of person-centered services from medical care to adult day supports with the primary goal of allowing individuals to remain in their own home. Free Training! Get paid while training to become a Certified Nurse Aide! Join our next paid Nurse Aide Training class offered at Passavant Community in Zelienople, PA. You will have four weeks of paid clinical and classroom training during the daylight shift (6:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.). Provides assistance to professional nursing staff in the care of residents/patients through performance of routine direct and indirect resident/patient care activities, according to established policies and procedures. Maintains resident/patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality. Promotes resident/patient acceptance of treatment goals and responds promptly to overall resident/patient needs. This C.N.A. paid training class is expected to start January 16, 2025. Deadline for interviews to be scheduled is December 26, 2024. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Completion of the PA State Nurse Aide Training Program or equivalent as determined by the PA Department of Education. Candidate for PA State Certified Nurse Aide testing. Individuals without certification, hired to be nurse aides, must demonstrate eligibility to sit for the PA State approved Nurse Aide Training Program testing as well satisfactorily pass the test within 120 days of employment. Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required. Responsible for providing safe transportation to residents/participants in a timely, competent manner and communicating important information relevant to the overall care plan to the interdisciplinary team. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least one year experience with the frail or elderly. Valid driver’s license. Driving record free from infractions including, but not limited to, DUI, negligent, reckless, or excessive minor infractions and convictions.
