Summary The National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) leads the nation\'s effort to protect the United States from terrorism by integrating, analyzing and sharing information to drive whole-of-government action and achieve our national CT objectives. Responsibilities Perform in-depth all-source research and analysis for specifically defined targets; conduct targeted analysis of known and unknown terrorist personalities, groups and networks in order to reveal identity attributes for future analytical and watchlisting purposes. Present findings as appropriate via written products, graphic presentations or oral briefings. Plan, develop, utilize, and refine approaches to gain a comprehensive understanding of complex and significant issues and incorporate insights and findings into biometric reports and cables. Develop an understanding of a variety of tools and approaches to incorporate policies, strategies, tactics, techniques, procedures. Communicate regularly with internal and external peers and counterparts to collaborate on intelligence issues and conduct initial assessments of the types of information and circumstances that may create opportunities to pursue joint-targeting activities. Plan, identify, and develop strategies to overcome identified gaps and increase efficiencies in data collection or processes. Cultivate and facilitate collaborate with counterparts in other agencies to support the integration of IC-wide terrorism analysis capabilities throughout the USG. Manage business operations to include the management of assigned tasks. Other duties, as assigned. Manage, initiate, cultivate, and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with individuals in the US Government (USG), Intelligence Community (IC), and ODNI. Salary Determination: The ODNI uses a rank-in-person system in which rank is attached to GS employees on the basis of individual qualifications, experience, and performance. Individuals whose current GS grade is equivalent to the grade of the advertised position will retain their current grade and step. Individuals who transfer to the ODNI from a non-GS pay scale will have base pay converted to the appropriate GS grade and step as determined by the Director/ Human Resource Management.
