Position Description: Prepare detailed estimates for the project based on the design documents, narratives, and specifications, focusing on the Electrical/Technology/LV System trades. Reports to: Preconstruction Manager / MEP Manager Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Specifically relating to the electrical systems: Communicate electrical estimate and scopes of work to Turner staff, architects, engineers, and owners. Prepare complete quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate, and studies for Electrical, Technology, and Low Voltage (LV) system items incorporated in assigned scope - from conceptual design through completed construction documents. Preliminary design work may be required to complete conceptual estimates. Analyze existing site conditions and contract documents (e.g., plans, specifications) to determine required scope not already indicated. Develop working relationships with local material suppliers and equipment vendors to solicit accurate and current pricing of lighting, distribution equipment, low voltage systems, and other material pricing. Develop working relationships with local Electrical, Technology, and LV System trade partners to build and maintain robust list of qualified bidders for projects. Perform constructability analysis of project documents. Communicate design and constructability issues to project team in accordance with project contract. Provide first costs analysis and participate in life cycle analysis with Design team. Work together with Operations staff and fellow estimators to properly address General Conditions and General Requirements (GC/GR) items in estimate including, but not limited to, items such as temporary heating/cooling, electrical, power and lighting, including estimating of electrical and natural gas consumption during construction. Coordinate equipment pricing with Turner Logistics for Electrical, Technology, and LV system estimates. Develop value analysis to define more cost-efficient alternatives to proposed Electrical, Technology, and LV system, materials and equipment. Serve as liaison with Engineers, Design consultants, trade partners, Turner staff, and owner\'s representatives to resolve more cost efficient Electrical, Technology, and LV system issues related to project preconstruction efforts. Prepare and assemble estimates and proposals for different contract types (e.g., lump sum, GMP, Cost Plus). Participate in estimate reviews with Design team and client. Position Description: Develop schedules for large or multiple smaller construction projects with more complex scheduling activities. Revise and review project schedule with project team and monitor and track progress against defined schedule. Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities: Develop thorough understanding of work breakdown structure and its importance for large or multiple smaller construction projects with more complex scheduling activities. Reference \'Scheduling Playbook\' to understand and adhere to company and Scheduling policies, practices, procedures, and activities. Develop relationships with project stakeholders for communication of overall project plan and to support project performance and promote value of scheduling. Collaborate with project team (e.g., Engineer and Superintendent) to confirm Contract Item List (CIL), develop Required On Job (ROJ) dates for schedule, and review Procurement Schedule to track and assess subcontractor commitments. Collaborate with project team to develop project schedule based on Critical Path Method (CPM) logic-generated baseline schedules using scheduling software. Review and recommend decisions related to performance of work regarding scheduling, delivery, logistics, and Trade staffing levels. Study schedule deliverables prior to publication or distribution. Ask challenging questions regarding schedule content to enhance accuracy of schedule. Collaborate with project departments (e.g., Preconstruction, Commissioning, Procurement, Construction) to prepare detailed schedules. Engage with Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team to align and coordinate schedules and models. Define project schedule metrics and monitor and track critical path activities to achieve predicted forecasted end-date. Contribute information required to update project schedule dashboard. Create target comparison models and look-ahead schedules to provide progress updates, present findings, and explain risks to project stakeholders, and create recovery strategies to support project adherence to schedule. Challenge project team based on previous, current, and future schedule data for As Built vs. Planned progress. Review Pull Plan and revise schedule accordingly and incorporate Last Planner System into schedule. Collaborate with project team to identify events and change order management and identify events that impact project schedule and to develop project schedule time impact analysis. Conduct project site progress walks to capture scheduling progress data. Generate scheduling reports and summaries based on client requests or needs.
