Summary This position is responsible for ensuring that the company\'s practices comply with IATF16949 regulatory and quality requirements and providing consultation to management to foster continual improvement toward excellence. This position will focus primarily on quality assurance. This position will manage and administer quality polices, respond to customer complaints and pro-actively pursue improvements to comply with customer quality requirements, use problem solving methodology to identify and correct root causes, and actively communicate and engage the team in quality initiatives. Responsible for the providing technical support to all areas of the Plant in assessment, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems that meet or exceed TS16949 standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assists in developing, documenting and implementing IATF 16949 quality systems such as PFMEAs, Control Plans, etc. Manage scrap reduction and process capability improvement studies with necessary project management tools (i.e., Gantt Charts, project charters, scope and timeline) Communicate and coordinate response to internal and external quality issues with suppliers, customers, management, and production personnel and provide appropriate follow-up Job Duties: Conduct IATF 16949 internal audits and develop appropriate action items Lead and facilitate corrective action (8D) problem solving teams using root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies Train personnel on new quality plans and work instructions as well as statistical and problem-solving techniques Maintain knowledge of inspection tools and gauges, including aiding with gauge calibration and Gauge R&R/capability studies Maintain personal computer and data collection equipment within area of responsibility Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Responsible for the pre-production approval process (PPAP) Devises sampling procedures and designs Develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, quality and reliability data Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment, testing measurement and analytical equipment and facilities Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility Reviews quality trends. Assists in identifying root causes of problem, institutes corrective actions and verifies effectiveness Interacts with customers and supplier representatives on quality issues Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities Other duties as assigned Knowledge & Skills: Must have a strong work ethic Must be well organized and a self-starter Must be able to follow detailed instructions Must have the ability to identify and solve problems and make logical decisions Must be able to work with precision and a high level of accuracy Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable and able to focus on task at hand Possess strong time management skills Ability to

Makes own set-ups, maintains set-up and operates presses such as punch, draw, forming, ferrules, serration, stock straighteners, blankers, etc. 2. Makes adjustments to all equipment as required. Sets feed, speeds, stroke, tooling, etc. 3. Performs own visual and dimensional inspection, uses standard measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, plug gauges, go and no go, etc. 4. Positions and changes incoming and outgoing materials. 5. May be required to record counts, production, maintain charts, job cards, labor tickets, identification tickets. 6. Maintains oil and coolant levels as required. 7. Advises supervision of need of maintenance on equipment. 8. May perform other related duties. 9. Must apply all environmental and safety procedures as outlined in work instructions. SKILL SUMMARY: Requires the ability to use shop math, standard measuring instruments and read blueprints and routings. Must have working knowledge of punch and draw area and mechanical abilities. Makes decisions based on established procedures. Must be able to read and understand all work instructions including those pertaining to safety and environmental impacts. Some overtime is required. DEMANDS SUMMARY: Requires frequent handling of medium to heavy materials, frequent walking, frequent stepping up and down, continuous standing and constant visual and mental attention.
