This position will serve as the Community Assets Resiliency Education (CARE) Program Manager for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County and will work under the direction and supervision of the Nutrition, Food, and Wellness Program Manager. CARE aims to guide youth toward successful futures by equipping them with essential life skills such as problem-solving, decision making, and developing healthy behaviors as well as providing their caregivers with access to a diverse menu of parenting education classes and/or individual in-home visits to enhance and strengthen communication and supervision skills with their child(ren) using trauma-informed evidence and research-based education programs that support a healthy transition to middle adolescence. This position will provide program and administrative direction, management, and coordination for all aspects of CARE, including overall supervision of the CARE Wellness Educator, oversight of the work of the Parenting Educator, managing subcontracts, budgeting and monitoring the use of funds, updating and ensuring utilization of the referral system, program reporting, training staff, and ensuring evidence and research-based programs are implemented with fidelity. The CARE Program Manager will work closely with the outside evaluator to ensure data collection, analysis, and reporting are communicated with the funder and other stakeholders. This position will be responsible for overseeing marketing, outreach, and promotion efforts to reach the target audience for recruitment of project personnel, project outreach and recruitment of participants, ensuring materials are translated into appropriate languages as needed, and that materials are provided in formats that are accessible to the intended audience. Workers will be paid on a bi-weekly basis. The employer will make all deductions from workers paychecks that are required by law. The employer will provide optional housing accommodations from a third-party if relocating for the position and not within reasonable transport to jobsite. If employer-arranged housing is utilized the worker will be deducted approximately $375 per month plus utilities. If workers request and receive a pay advance, that amount will later be deducted from their paycheck.
